Illegal immigration

Illegal immigration has been a problem for many years without anyone doing anything to remedy it. In the case of the United States, it must be said, it is used as a flag by both political parties saying that they cause problems on the Republican side and on the Democratic side they are defended. But there is something else that must be said and soon: the Democratic Party is the one that has made the most policies that harm illegal immigrants while the only amnesty that has been granted was given by a republican government. And yes, what they are reading is correct because things are not as they are painted and it is time for someone to say them by name. We should also do an exercise of self-criticism because the cause of illegal immigration is in many cases a product of necessity.
Do not be foolish, illegal immigration in this continent is the result of weak governments that are unable to generate opportunities for their citizens. In the case of Mexico this has served to plug some gaps as the remittances from Mexicans in the United States represent the second most important source of foreign currency, the first being (or was) oil. For me it is something shameful because it is an obvious inability of the Mexican State to create opportunities for all the inhabitants of this country. Seriously, there are entire rural communities in rural areas of the country that are inhabited only by women and children because men are in the United States. Yes, I do not know the situation in other countries. United States immigration policies have become quite harsh in recent decades. It is not yesterday or now that Mexico has problems with the Americans because at least since the 1960s it has always been on the table of the bilateral agenda. Therefore, I infer that the threats of Donald Trump are not new and our leaders must have suffered at some point, but before there were no social networks.
Now, this has been a topic of discussion in the North American political arena for many years. The position of the Democratic Party seems very noble, but the reality is different. While they maintain that the defense of illegal immigrants is a priority for them, the truth is that their history is imposed as a racist and xenophobic party. The tourist visa for 10 years (before it was for life), the difficulty to obtain citizenship, the first time NAFTA review was requested and the construction of a wall on the border were policies of the Bill Clinton administration. The double appointment to apply for a tourist visa, the obligation to grant passwords of social networks to apply for visas and the policy of separating children of illegal immigrants from their parents at the border to have them in unhealthy conditions were rules implemented during the government of Barack Obama. The Obama administration also has the record of deportations and many of them were made in massive raids like those Trump does and also separating illegal immigrants from their US-born children. With this I think that the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Democrat Nancy Pelosi, has a hypocritical stance and I do not doubt that it is because in the White House is Donald Trump and not Hillary Clinton, although it is evident that the Democrats suffer from amnesia.
The political institute that has most protested the presence of illegal immigrants in recent years is the Republican Party and paradoxically is the one that has had the most lax policies towards them. The amnesty that many of the illegals granted citizenship in 1986 was the work of Republican President Ronald Reagan. The Free Trade Agreement with Mexico and Canada was negotiated and signed into the Republican government of George HW Bush in 1992. In the government of the next Republican president, George W. Bush, what hardened was the security to enter the United States product of the attacks of September 11, 2001, but really there were no major changes in migration policies beyond that. This last government also holds the second place in the record of deportations of illegal immigrants also in massive raids and separating children from their parents. Already arriving at Donald Trump, in spite of its attacks on Mexico and Central America, the number of deportations barely reaches half of what Obama had in the same period of time and he took up Bill Clinton's idea of the border wall (now it turns out that Democrats have amnesia). In conclusion, this problem is a paradox in the North American political arena.
